Wax Print

Wax Print traces the vast and multi-stranded global history of a fabric that has become an iconic symbol of Africa and her children worldwide. This beautiful, transnational two-year journey has taken director Aiwan Obinyan around the world, in search of African wax prints and the untold story of how wax print fabric came to symbolize a continent, its people, and their struggle for freedom.

Khumba

A half-striped zebra that is rejected by his superstitious, all-striped herd goes on a daring quest in this bright and lively South African animated adventure comedy, which has an important message about learning to accept yourself. After the other zebras blame the strange-looking foal for the lack of rain and spreading drought, he ventures beyond his home, following a map to what may be a water source. Along the way he encounters a diverse range of animals, from a ferocious leopard to a free-spirited wildebeest and an insecure ostrich, learning that difference can be a strength.

Victoria Ferrand Scott at The Sculpture Gallery

Make a date in your diary for the launch of Victoria Ferrand Scott's exhibition on the 1st May.

Please join us and Victoria and share a glass of wine, to welcome her as our latest Guest Artist. Working from her studio near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire, Victoria’s work is often abstract, exploring forms of indeterminable identity which seem to have their own inner life, open to diverse interpretation. She likes to retain a certain mystery as to the origins of the pieces.

Tiff Stevenson: Husband Material

PART OF LEEDS COMEDY FESTIVAL 2025

Tiff tells you why she’d make a good husband. There are also jokes about her actual husband. Husband material. 100% more husband-y.

From the woman you have seen on ‘Mock the Week’, ‘People Just Do Nothing’ and that sloth movie. As heard on The Bugle.

She has made it into the Top 20 Best Reviewed Shows at the Fringe four times.

“It’s jaw-droppingly remarkable how much ground she covers, how funny she is, how intelligent her attacks are”***** (Sunday Herald).
