The annual SNAPS Superhero Challenge is an accessible ‘fun run’ style family event, open to all ages and abilities.
The event will give children the chance to zoom around a 400m athletics track. Each child can decide on their own distance target. They may choose to go halfway round, the full way round or keep going many times. They can choose to either run or walk, and those requiring a wheelchair, walker or pushchair are encouraged to wheel around the track too.
Join us at Wellington Place where we’ll be hosting a poetry writing session for adults.
In this hour-long creative workshop you’ll work with our experienced host to practice new techniques as well as developing existing skills sets.
Join us at Wellington Place as we host a children’s workshop from 10–11.30am, where little ones will learn how to think creatively and engage their imagination to create beautiful short poems.
Finishing with an inspiring and entertaining reading by the host.
A fresh, new take on the traditional farmer’s market, Fayre in the Square combines food traders, live music, local art market traders and family-friendly fun for a truly unique summer experience. A mindful morning of yoga with Yoga Hero. Our expert instructors will guide you through a gentle, one-hour long flow to kickstart the weekend in the beautiful landscaped setting of Tower Square.
This session is suitable for all abilities, though unfortunately is not suitable for pre and post natal people.

The summer of sport comes to Wellington Place! On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July Tower Square will be transformed into Leeds’s answer to Murray Mount for the closing weekend of this year’s Wimbledon tournament.
Enjoy the nail-biting drama of the world famous tournament’s finals weekend on the big screen, with plenty of deck chairs to sit back and enjoy and to make it extra sweet, we’ll be giving away 100 Northern Bloc strawberry & cream ice creams to mark the occasion, because is it really Wimbledon without it?!
"Things that Go" is the theme of this years festival, so we have dusted off our old wheely toys for little folk to enjoy.

This August, ACCA Dance Theatre is taking their show 'Occupational Hazard' to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This is a very exciting opportunity to share their work internationally!
However, taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe is very costly and often small companies like ACCA do not have the resources to cover the expenses without extra help.
