Wild Play at Skelton Grange for 8-12-year-olds

Set up camp for a day of wildness in the woods at TCV Skelton Grange...

Wide games, shelter building, fire lighting, campfire cooking, field games, hammock hanging, wild food walks, woodwork crafts, string making, bows and arrows, stalking and tracking, pyro-carving and charcoal making.

The cost per child is £30 (+ Eventbrite booking fee) and includes a day of outdoor games and bushcraft activities led by experienced leaders.

Sessions run from 10am - 4pm.

To Improvise A Mountain: Lynette Yiadom-Boakye Curates

Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, one of the most important figurative painters today, selects an exhibition of works critical to her way of seeing and thinking, inviting audiences on a personal journey through art past and present.

First coming to prominence in the early 2010s, Yiadom-Boakye is both an artist and a writer who is renowned for her oil paintings of imagined subjects. Assertive presences who yet seem to exist outside of any definable time or place, her figures are hailed for both their technical mastery and lingering, enigmatic quality.

The Music of: Elvin Jones

An all star line up from the Leeds jazz scene pays tribute to the legendary drummer Elvin Jones.

Best known as a member of the era-defining John Coltrane Quartet, Elvin Jones also recorded with such jazz icons as Grant Green, Wayne Shorter, Larry Young and Joe Henderson.

This Leeds Jazz Festival show will focus on the numerous albums Jones made as a leader, including Coalition, Mr Jones, The Ultimate and the legendary Live At The Lighthouse.

Ricky Adam: Back-To-Back, A Solo Exhibition

Back-To-Back is a series of photographs from the terraces of Leeds - 2006-2024.The photos, taken by Ricky Adam, are the result of years of going round the houses (quite literally), all over Leeds, in all manner of weather, taking snapshots in and around the red brick terrace houses that surround the city like a giant donut made from red bricks.
