The course is designed for beginners

What will I learn?

This course is a mixture of theory and practical skills which will cover:

- A toolbox talk on what you need to fix different types of fixtures to different types of walls : Which drills, drill bits, screws and fixtures and when to use them.

- How to identify stud and brick walls, gaining a basic understanding of their structure.

- Practice using a battery combi-drill, hammer drill and SDS drill.

- Understanding the principles of how to avoid embedded pipes and cables.

This course is designed to build on the skills and techniques you have learnt in our Introduction to Woodwork - Hand Tools 1 course. Please make sure you have completed our Hand Tools 1 course as we like to ensure everybody is at a similar skill level. We do this to make sure all participants get the most out of the day and can learn as much as possible.

What will I learn?

Pinot and Picasso are a new local paint and drink venue in Leeds and are hosting their first pop up in Leeds with us! 

During the workshop you will be guided through the process of painting a replication (or interpretation) of a piece called ‘Plants Over People’ a colourful plant based piece.

Join us for a day of pooch appreciation! We’ll be full of four-legged friends ready to enter our various competitions throughout the day.

Bring your pup and win some prizes! Not got one? No problem! You can still attend and take part in judging the categories and soak up the atmosphere, it’s going to be a great day.

With practitioner Steve Hart. Drawing on decades of pain conditions and practising meditation, Steve will lead mindfulness practises and discuss possible skilful responses to somatic and feeling based pain.
