The landmark Leeds rehearsal space, recording studio and community hub Old Chapel Music has announced its first ever Crowdfunder campaign, in response to an unprecedented rise in rental costs. The Crowdfunder campaign, formally launched on Sunday 23rd July, managed to raise over £1,200 in its first 24 hours - but the CIC is hoping to encourage more donations in the coming days, in service of reaching a £9,000 funding goal.
The children of award-winning LS18 Rocks have taken inspiration from the classic 1972 Leeds United smash Marching On Together to write and record their very own song entitled Marching On.

We have a lot of people to thank for helping us put on some of the best jazz around - and to pick up a couple of jazz awards along the way! We'll be celebrating at the Chapel Allerton Arts Festival on 1st - 4th September with four jazz events to choose from.
The focus is on FUN – we have jazz and dance, jazz and silent movies, the best contemporary music and an open-air Jazz Sunday for all the family.
Let the good times roll!

Do you play/create music and find yourself going back to the same rhythms and sounds? Are you looking to shake things up? Come and join me for a visually immersive experimental sound session with people from randomly different styles and genres.
This will be the first session for a larger project I'm developing called Collaborative Audio-Visual Experimentation Sessions (CAVE sessions). Creative sessions where people come together to explore sound in a visually stimulating space.
Over the last six years I’ve written about 300 Poem Portraits. In partnership with Lizzie Coombes, photographer, I’ve been commissioned by choirs, voluntary organisations, library services and charities - as well as individuals for birthdays, weddings and other celebrations.
