Discover the wonderfully tactile process of turning loose wool fibres into a beautiful felted landscape in this two-part workshop with Yorkshire artist Janine Jacques.
During the first Saturday, you’ll explore wet felting using soft merino wool, warm soapy water and friction. Janine will guide you as you layer colour and texture, coaxing the fibres together to create your own vibrant poppy-field landscape.
You’ll return the following Saturday to develop your artwork with needle felting. Using a special barbed needle, you’ll add finer details, depth and definition to your poppies, grasses, sky and landscape.
Every finished piece will be completely unique.
Janine is a generous and experienced teacher who willingly shares the techniques and creative secrets behind her own work. She’ll provide individual guidance throughout, helping everyone create something they can feel proud of.
The course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some felting experience. All materials and equipment are included.
This is a two-part course, and your ticket includes both Saturday workshops.
