We're delighted to welcome Indignation Meeting to Jumbo for a very special launch gig for their second album, 'A Model World'. The band will take to the Jumbo stage at 3pm.
Entry is free, but you can secure your place at the gig by pre-ordering the album here.
Indignation Meeting are punky rail fans from Leeds. 15-year-old Peter is the driver - he's the lead singer and drummer, writes most of the songs, and plays trumpet. The rest of the crew are his dad Michael on guitar, Hugo on bass, Keith on another guitar, with Heather and Sally often coming along for the ride when they play out. 'A Model World' is their second album, following the debut 'Trouble In The Shed', which was self-released on CD in 2023 and picked up by Damaged Goods who released it on vinyl earlier this year. The new album delivers more songs about railways and trains, with a bit of geography and politics thrown in for good measure. Just like the first album, it's full of catchy tunes and witty lyrics, but Peter's songwriting has clearly developed and matured since then - and so it should, as he'd reached the ripe old age of 14 by the time A Model World was recorded!
