Sigfrid Karg-Elert Homage to Handel
This concert will last approximately 50 minutes.
Thomas Trotter’s annual visit begins and ends with George Frideric Handel – starting with one of his lesser-known concertos and finishing with Sigrid Karg-Elert’s kaleidoscopic set of 54 variations on Handel’s Passacaglia in G minor. Thomas also plays two of his own Gustav Holst arrangements, including one of the composer’s most famous tunes, Jupiter.
