The North Leeds Charity Beer & Music Festival 2026 returns for a weekend of real ale, live music, local food, and community spirit in Roundhay. Organised by the Rotary Club of Roundhay, the festival has become a highlight of the spring calendar, bringing together beer enthusiasts, music lovers, families, and the wider community. Since its launch in 2012, the festival has raised over £102,500, supporting a wide range of local charities, community projects, and Rotary initiatives, making it a fun and meaningful experience for all attendees.

Real Ale and Breweries
The festival celebrates traditional real ales from Yorkshire’s finest breweries, including Kirkstall Brewery, Leeds Brewery, Ossett Brewery, Roosters Brewery, Wishbone Brewery, Craven Brew Co, Daleside Brewery, and Chin Chin. Each brewery brings distinctive flavours, from light and refreshing to rich and full-bodied, offering something for every palate. Attendees can explore a broad range of ales, discover new favourites, and enjoy the depth and diversity of Yorkshire brewing.

Gin, Prosecco, and Other Drinks
For those seeking alternatives to ale, the festival offers a dedicated gin and prosecco bar, alongside a club bar serving soft drinks and other beverages. Gluten-free beers and zero-alcohol options are also available, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the festival experience.

Live Music
Music is a central feature of the 2026 festival. Friday showcases big band jazz from the Stroke of Genius Band, jazz and blues from acoustic trio Topaz, and an energetic set of soul, funk, pop, and rock from Elevation Avenue. Saturday continues the musical feast with the all-female Pop ‘n Rock Choir, the acoustic CCEasy jazz and blues trio, electric blues from Kinda Blue, and the party band Scott and the Antarctics. Special highlights include Roundhay School alumni band the Swamp Donkeys, reuniting after 33 years, the rising rock band Setlist, and the closing performance from Sicknotes of Cawood, featuring rockabilly and modern classics with a new female vocalist. The music programme offers something for all tastes, ensuring a vibrant, festival atmosphere.

Food All Weekend
Delicious food is available throughout the festival, including Setchfield Butchers Pork Pie & Peas and Mrs Singh’s samosas, providing festival-goers with plenty of tasty options to enjoy with drinks. Food is served all weekend, creating a complete sensory experience for attendees.

Family-Friendly Saturday Afternoon
Saturday 11 April, 12:00–5:30pm is dedicated to families, offering face painting, safe play areas, games, and activities for children, along with snacks available for a small charge. Children attend free with a paying adult, making it an ideal day out for families and reflecting the festival’s commitment to being inclusive and community-oriented.

Dog-Friendly
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, allowing four-legged friends to enjoy the festival alongside their owners.

Charity and Community Impact
The festival continues to be a community-focused charity event, with proceeds helping support local initiatives, youth projects, health and social care programmes, and wider Rotary projects. Every ticket and purchase contributes to making a positive impact in Leeds and beyond, allowing attendees to have fun while giving back to the community.
