Come to the Art Library for an evening of ghosts, spirits, demons, and folklore as we delve into the spooky side of Japanese folklore in woodblock prints.

A brief talk of the history of Edo culture and the popularisation of the “Floating world picture” Ukiyo-e style of print will be followed by some background on folklore and ghostly examples in Edo period art.

Then, join in with a bit of Suminagashi floating - ink marbling!
