A one-off free event for Creativity & Wellbeing Week.

Drumming together helps us to connect with each other, and also to find the unique creative input that we can add to a group.

Using the same principles of embodiment, awareness and intuition as we practise in a 5Rhythms class, we’ll invite both body and spirit to enter the circle, and find the rhythms that move us.

Feel free to bring your own drum (or any acoustic instrument). We’ll also have some instruments available to borrow.

We’ll practice:

Breathing with the beat
Playing from the whole body
Aligning with the energy of the group
Surrendering to the rhythm
Adding our own flavour
Experiencing the silence between the beats
Plenty of opportunity for creative play, and if you feel moved to sing or dance, it’s more than welcome.

The session will be facilitated by 5Rhythms teacher Ben Deutsch.
