Paris-based British pianist and composer Dave Bristow brings his quintet to the Howard Assembly Room to perform music from their sophisticated second album, Sides. This latest project documents the growth of a rising artist, using jazz as a medium to explore the interplay between chaos and structure.

The quintet - featuring the combined talents of Christian Altehülshorst, Félix Hardouin, Gabriel Pierre, and Guillaume Prévost - moves between winding, unpredictable improvisations and accessible, melodic compositions. It is a forward-thinking set that reflects the complexities of the modern world, offering moments of solace and hope through tightly arranged performances.
