Join us & Leeds Civic Trust for the official opening of the restored Bear Pit! The event at the Bear Pit will include speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the unveiling of a new information board and sowing wildflower seeds in the Bear Pit new garden!

After the grand opening (1pm-3pm), here at Left Bank we are welcoming in everyone down for some free family crafts and community consultation.

This is your chance to have your say on the future of the Bear Pit space. What would you like to see happen here? How can the community make the most of this historic site?

For anyone visiting with kids, or the feeling for something a little creative - We will have plenty of arts & crafts materials for you to get stuck in to some bear inspired art. No need to bring anything with you - just potter on down after the grand opening.

Looking to make a day of it? Why not head to our neighbours at Hyde Park Picture House who are bringing one of our favourite bears to the big screen to celebrate the Bear Pit launch! Arrive at 10:30am for a special self-led bear hunt around Hyde Park Picture House followed by an introduction from Leeds Civic Trust Director, Martin Hamilton prior to the film showing of Paddington in Peru.
