Playing Live : Leeds Finest "Veteran Soundsystem" and "DJ Muddy Brown" (LS7) the Chapeltown homegrown music selectors will play out in central Leeds for a mini music selection pre the main carnival event.

Dine and enjoy live Reggae, Dancehall, Ska with a fusion of Hip Hop... with this special anniversary recognition "Ital Roots" Nattylyn Maddix-Butler: the DJ (Natty Congo Bongo I) host returns back to her Rastafarian Childhood to bring together across de generation a selection of sound selectors to celebrate the roots of Reggae which was held originally at Leeds Potternewton Park as what became locally known as "Reggae Sunday", the annual day of Reggae music, roots n culture before Leeds West Indian Carnival Event.

The Sunday is now rebranded "Leeds Black Music Festival" - you can join the festival pre or post the Howard Assembly Room Bar - Live Special Carnival Edition.

Nattylyn has formed a NEW partnership with (Tony Green) at "Opera North" Leeds. In this partnership they promote this special homage event to the 1980s "Leeds Reggae Day" - Nattylyn aged in her 40s is bringing her Chapeltown, Jamaican n Vincy and UK heritage to central Leeds.

Giving thanks and paying respects to those passed over near and far in memorial, we respeck the ancestors from the 80s at this time and the heroes and legends including community leaders that worked tiresly to bring about celebrating racial diversity and zero tolerance to prejudice in the honour of community coming together.
