We are delighted to announce the launch of the Seasons of Culture 2026 Funding Programme.

This new initiative funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority will support one off creative projects that connect with nature and encourage communities to engage with green and blue spaces. The programme focuses on arts and creative activity that promotes active travel, nature recovery, and creative practice inspired by the natural environment.

Theme for 2026: Nature

We are looking to fund projects that demonstrate a clear connection to the theme of Nature, whether through their artistic content, chosen location, or intended outcomes. This may include:

encouraging active travel
engaging communities in nature recovery
delivering creative work in green or blue spaces such as parks, riversides, and nature reserves

Eligible activities can include:

nature‑themed performances, exhibitions, and participatory events in outdoor green/blue spaces
projects that protect nature and biodiversity through arts and culture
environmental storytelling
activities that help communities connect with local natural spaces
initiatives that inspire walking, cycling, or the use of public transport

Grant funding is available from £3,000 to £15,000.

The application deadline is Tuesday 21 April 2026 at 12pm (noon).
