Calling all filmmakers! Whether you’re fresh out of university, already navigating the industry, or creating films in your spare time, the new INDIs Filmmaker Network is here to help you connect and thrive in the world of filmmaking.

Brought to you by Hyde Park Picture House, Studio12, and the INDIs Film Fest, this exciting new networking opportunity is designed to support budding filmmakers in our local region. We're kicking things off with a free launch event on Wednesday, October 2, from 6-8 pm at the iconic Hyde Park Picture House.

This is more than just your typical networking event. We’ve lined up some fantastic screenings and discussions with two of our favourite local filmmakers, Gage Oxley and Gomolemo Nyakale. You’ll get to dive into their creative journeys and learn about the challenges they’ve encountered like filming in Leeds, working with volunteers, managing low budgets - and ask them your burning questions.

But that's not all! We want this network to evolve and reflect what you need as filmmakers. Whether you’re keen on screening your work, pitching ideas, or seeking collaborations, we’re ready to hear your feedback and ideas.
This launch event marks the first in a series of meetups, with the next one planned for March. So, if you’re looking to make new connections, find inspiration, or showcase your films, the INDIs Filmmaker Network is the place to be!
