And, let's face it, in the absence of hugs, and whilst we're still restricted by social distancing, these words feel more important than ever.
Ootrey stationery combines great designs with beautiful materials and print finishes. Their products are made in collaboration with some of the most promising up-and-coming artists, as well as established designers and illustrators. Here we find out about the work of Leeds Arts University graduate and Ootrey designer Xanthe Bonsall.
Leeds Arts University BA (Hons) Illustration student Sofia Johnston is about to graduate but she already has her artwork on the walls of Leeds’ Franco Manca and has worked with her hero, animator Julian Glander. Sofia tells us how the benefits of taking on industry briefs alongside her studies helped build her confidence to embark on a freelance career.
If you've not been able to take a tour around Beeston and Holbeck's LS11 Art Gallery we thought we'd share a few photos of the pictures along with some of the artists who created them.
