We are You Can Laugh You Know and we are Leeds' first (and best) BBC comedy supported disabled-led comedy night.
We showcase a range of disabled talent from emerging comedians to established names on the British comedy circuit!
We have been going since March 2023 and we have had a successful run of 19 shows, bringing laughter to the disabled community in West Yorkshire.
However, all good things must come to an end and so must we.
Therefore we have decided to go out with a bang.
For our final and 20th show, we are teaming up with Britain's Got Talent finalist Alex Mitchell to deliver an afternoon full of crip joy with disabled comedy, music and film.
Expect empowerment, jokes that challenge you and lots of laughter.
All money raised will go to charity.
There will be musical sets from:
Red Lady
Morgan Song
and
Ding Frisby.
A special screening of My Friend Orson Welles (2025) directed by Sam Judd.
The synopsis is: an aspiring screenwriter discovers his true feelings for his childhood friend, all under the sardonic but dubious tutelage of an imaginary Orson Welles. Boasting a 50% disabled cast and crew, the film is a whimsical romantic comedy and love letter to cinema.
A You Can Laugh You Know Disabled Comedian of the Year Competition 😉
Then comedy from:
Your host Juliette Burton
Hollie Noble
Alex Mitchell
Zee
Aaron Simmonds
Jack Hunter-Spivey
and
Lost Voice Guy😁
Doors will be at 2pm and we will finish at 7pm.
