The Tom Sharp Jazz Orchestra are a brilliant 20-piece line up performing classic Big Band Jazz from the 20th Century, as well as arrangements from members of the band. They release their debut album of the same name, supported by Leeds Conservatoire's Big Band, and celebrate with us at The Attic on Sunday 27th April.
The band started by performing at the legendary JazzLeeds Christmas Concert at Seven Arts in 2016, and shortly after, went on to win the prestigious Great North Big Band Competition. They've moved from strength to strength ever since. With Tom Sharp as musical director, the band plays music from all across the big band repertoire of the twentieth century, focusing on the big swingers of the 50s, as well as showcasing arrangements from members of the orchestra.
Plus support from LCSU Big Band.
