Music Zone

Join Professor Catherine Loveday as she explores the impact of music on the brain, with the help of live sets from local musicians Hang Linton, Neve Cariad and Alex Browne throughout the evening.

Attraction Zone

Writer Declan Wiffen leads a drop-in zine making workshop playfully exploring attraction, sexuality and sensuality.

Dr James Jackson shares his tips on how to (literally) sniff out your perfect match.

Psychedelic Zone

Sip, sniff and sample some mood-altering natural concoctions, and learn what makes you feel good with RHS-trained gardener Matilya Njau.

Step into the colourful world of screen printing with local artist Jenny Wright, and create your own trippy work of art to take home

Delve into the mind-bending science of drugs and their potential to treat neurological disorders with Dr Clare Tweedy.

Our friends from Kirkstall Brewery will be serving a range of alcoholic tipples throughout the evening, alongside a menu of hot and cold drinks and non-alcoholic drinks in our café.

Thackray Lates is our new series of adult-only evening events taking place across 2024. Join us as we explore unusual topics and untold stories with the help of special guests, hands-on experiences, medical experiments, performances and more.
