As the light returns and day meets night in perfect balance, join us for a spring equinox gathering inspired by renewal, intention, and gentle beginnings.

In this hands-on calligraphy workshop, you’ll be introduced to the beautiful, meditative practice of pointed nib and ink. Whether you’re completely new or returning to the ink, you’ll learn foundational strokes, letterforms, and techniques to create your very own calligraphy lettering.

You’ll then hand-letter your own affirmation card — personal, intentional phrases to carry into the new season. Think of them as small seeds of encouragement you can keep, gift, or place somewhere meaningful, reminding you of what you wish to cultivate in the months ahead.

All materials are provided. Workshops are suitable for beginners and we welcome people coming by themselves!

Sophie is the founder of Sophie Eloise Calligraphy. Having always enjoyed being creative, Sophie has honed her calligraphy skills over the years, working with both nib and brush. She creates bespoke, beautiful calligraphy for weddings, events or gifts from her studio in Leeds for a range of clients.
