SOUNDBITES - Monthly Poetry Open Mic
Live in the Assembly Bar + Kitchen!

Readings by a different local published poet each month. This month we're delighted to welcome JOE WILLIAMS

Joe is a writer and performing poet from Leeds. His latest book is the
poetry collection ‘Allegro on the Overpass’, published by Yaffle Press in 2026.
His other work includes ‘The Taking Part’, a short collection of poems on the
theme of sport and games, and the verse novella ‘An Otley Run’, which was
shortlisted for a Saboteur Award. He is the founder and host of Chemistry in
Leeds and Words on the Wall in Hexham. Despite all of that, he is probably
most widely read thanks to his contributions to Viz.
