Join James Thompson, one of the artists from ‘Is This What We Have Left?’ exhibition on display at the Hyde Park Art Club until 19/12/2024, for a walking tour of art spaces past and present from Mabgate to Hunslet. 

The tour will provide the opportunity to share memories of lost art spaces and give an insight into artist-led activity through the former industrial Mabgate and Hunslet areas of Leeds. Places where studio, workshop and gallery spaces were affordable, but are now subject to large-scale urban redevelopment that threatens the future of artist practice in these parts of the city.

We will meet at 2pm on Saturday 9th November 2024 in front of East Street Arts (Patrick Studios, St. Mary’s Lane, Leeds LS9 7EH) and from there walk a route via different art spaces to The Tetley (Hunslet Rd, Leeds LS10 1JQ) where the tour will finish. 

The tour will last approximately 90-120 minutes and you are free to leave at any time.
