Simon, a white man with dark hair and glasses, holds up a book in his right hand and gestures with his left hand open. He is mid-speech. Behind him to the left are rows of library bookshelves, and to the right is a projector screen showing an image of a butterfly.

Come and meet Simon Zonenblick as he shares poems from his debut full length poetry collection An Invertebrate Fable.

Invertebrates are fascinating, their shapes and behaviour intriguing. Simon takes us into the English countryside in search of butterflies, dragonflies, beetles, slugs and snails, as well as the slowly marching millipede or scuttling centipede, all vital players in the ecosystem, often overlooked and underappreciated.

Simon Zonenblick currently lives in the Calder Valley, West Yorkshire. As a poet and nature writer he has published widely in books, magazines and newspapers such as The Yorkshire Post, as well as devising and presenting talks and films on various subjects, and working on many other creative projects.
