Faraway - Forming two years ago in Leeds, UK, Faraway is a bold, enchanting, and visually exciting project. Their take on indie rock interweaves three-part harmonies and classic rock guitars with compositions that evoke baroque pop. Their songs tell stories of a magical, make-believe land, also called Faraway, inspired by the settings of classic works of fiction, especially Oz, Narnia, and Neverland, magical worlds made for young people to escape a harsh reality. As such their fantastical lyrics hint at real world difficulties under the surface, nothing is ever quite as it seems.
Char - CHAR is an alternative indie rock artist, based in Leeds. Her sound encapsulates elements of 90’s indie rock, with gritty vocal melodies, not dissimilar to the likes of Wolf Alice and Sunday 1994. Her deeply personal lyricism details the turbulence of young adulthood, relationships with oneself and others, self-exploration and other topics that often feel difficult to discuss. Channelling the likes of Florence Road, Fletcher, Radiohead and Mazzy Star, she has crafted an evolving soundscape for listeners to indulge in, and is certainly one to watch amongst the lineup of new alternative artists.
The Luca - Vulnerable. Feel-good. Sam Perry's experiment in how to bring indie-folk and 80s glazed pop/rock together under one roof.
Fronted by Perry and built around his ear for rhythm, vocal harmony and storyteller songwriting, The Luca beams with band-in-the-room energy. Enter Sam Newham on drums, Nathan Apps on bass guitar, Tim Malkin (Opheliah) on electric guitar, Harrison Stanford on synths/vocals, Charlotte Lynch (Marnie Glum) on acoustic guitar/vocals and Zoe Cure on piano/vocals. The Luca is a noticeboard for ideas, a processing tool and a reason to play music with friends. Sam's relationship with songwriting has never been stronger. The Luca's debut album will be released in the summer of 2026.
