A Room in Leeds exhibition, at Leeds City Museum, showcases the artworks of 4 groups and individuals from across Leeds who took part in Skippko Art Teams project 'A Room in Leeds' during 2023/24.
Everyone involved in the project started with the same idea - to look at objects that mean something to the individual. From a giant teapot to photographs of objects in unfamiliar settings, the exhibition is testament to the hard work of those involved.
The groups involved with AVSED (Supporting Aireborough Seniors), OPAL (Older People's Action in the Locality), the photography group and members from Aspire Community Benefit Society plus over 50 people who made individual artworks to reflect personal objects within a small wooden house.
'A Room in Leeds' was funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and Leeds Inspired.
The exhibition is open to the public during usual museum opening times.
