Ricardo Alvarez is a Chilean saxophonist and composer. He lived in the UK in York, between 2010-18. While here he presented his first album “Huay Not” at Seven Arts in 2018. Here are some of the recordings:

Since 2018 he has returned to Chile and released his second album “Bar Ingles” that is now available on Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/album/7r3LF0LnKJdloqWUCXNE5g?si=qbvrRZtsRAa2hmQXJ1cp4A).
He returns to Yorkshire and Leeds for a visit in September 2024 and will present a concert at Seven Arts which will include some of his more recent compositions.
Featured in his band is guitarist Jiannis Pavlidis who is based at Leeds Conservatoire and has performed and recorded since 1985 all over Europe and USA. Some of the artists he has collaborated with are David Liebman,Adam Nussbaum, Greg Hutchinson, and Ari Hoenig.
