After a brief introduction - covering the pros and cons of machine translation and challenges in translating poetry - participants will choose a non-English language poem to work on. Using a literal machine translation (provided), the challenge will be to turn the clunky machine translation into poetry. Time permitting, volunteers will be invited to perform their poem.
