North or Nowt presents a riso print workshop at Convention House, East Street Arts, Leeds, designing and printing a two to three colour riso print of your own in the Riso Room.
You'll learn about the history of riso printing and how the process works, and how to design for riso print using analogue collage and drawing methods. Working with North or Nowt, you'll learn how to make analogue colour separations and layers to build a multi-coloured riso print, with access to a range of analogue collage and mark-making materials. If you have something specific you'd like to collage with, feel free to bring it along too. Each participant designs their own riso print and takes away an edition of 10 copies.
The session covers a brief history of riso printing, techniques and approaches to designing for riso, and looks at how riso can be approached experimentally.
The workshop runs on Thursday 15 October, 6 to 8.30pm. Tickets are £35 plus booking fee per person.
