The evening highlights the soaring melodies and poignant harmonies of English and German Romantic traditions, featuring the accessible warmth of Vaughan Williams’ Linden Lea and Stanford’s The Blue Bird, alongside the stirring passion of Brahms and Hubert Parry’s deeply moving Songs of Farewell.
