Create a unique piece of art for your home by making a gorgeous mosaic bird and bee.

You will learn -

how to cut tiles using hand-held wheeled nippers

how to lay the tiles in the correct patterns

how to grout (demonstration, as mosaics can’t be grouted on the day)

what glues are suitable

where to buy mosaic materials for any future projects

This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.

We will use washable PVA glue but you may wish to wear old clothing or bring an apron

As grouting cannot be done on the day, grout and full instructions will be provided.

This workshop is led by Frances Taylor, who runs Mosaic Mania and has been making mosaics for more than 25 years. She has been teaching mosaic-making and running workshops for more than 20 years. Frances runs regular courses at her mosaic studio in Otley, she also makes commissions, sells mosaics, runs community and school mosaic projects and exhibits.
