This is not your usual museum trip. The Royal Armouries dock-side tiltyard, known for hosting legendary jousts, is being brought to life this summer with daily live Mongolian horse shows. Staged alongside their special exhibition 'Genghis Khan: How the Mongols Changed the World', this day out provides the perfect mix of entertainment and education.

See spectacular riders demonstrate the many techniques the Mongol horseman used to build their empire; from mounted archery to two handed maces, this is a show you won’t want to miss.

Head inside the museum and follow the trail through the Asian and African Gallery featuring Batu The Fast, a Mongolian messenger and scout, before making your own paper ger (yurt).

Horse shows will be running twice daily at 11am and 2pm, from 22 July – 31 August.
