Kristýna Farag is a Czech flautist, singer, and teacher of Slovak and Syrian heritage, shaping her artistic voice through both classical and Middle Eastern musical traditions. She specialises in 20th-century and contemporary repertoire, Arabic music, improvisation, and interdisciplinary collaborations (Kettle’s Yard Gallery, Henry Moore Institute, Hedge Sheffield), and is a co-winner of first prize in the flute trio category at the Friedrich Kuhlau International Competition in Uelzen, Germany.
She founded the Albaidar Duo with musician and poet Marwan Alsolaiman, rearranging and performing Arabic classical and folk music, and also composing original pieces. Kristýna sings as a soprano with the Leeds Guild of Singers.
