Get ready to stomp that dance floor with Peter Flockhart from London’s Cactus Club as he introduces us to the welcoming world of country and western dancing and its unique place in the international LGBTQ+ community.
With a particular emphasis on line dancing, Peter will teach a mix of older dances that have stood the test of time and popular new line dances.
Open to everyone from seasoned dancers to complete beginners. This is an energetic workshop, but participants are welcome to take a break, sit and watch before rejoining.
Peter has taught line dancing for over 30 years, choreographing for films and music videos. He currently runs London’s Cactus Club, a social line dancing group for the LGBTQ+ community.
Suitable for all levels of experience.
This is a Pay What You Can event as part of Collective Encounters, a two-day festival of dance for LGBTQ+ folx and their allies.
