Join professional artist and Northlight artistic director Boris Cruse for a four-week adventure that will ignite your creativity and take your artistic skills to new heights.
What to Expect
In this course you will learn how to create both gestural and structural drawings from both long and short poses. We provide a relaxed, creative environment where both professional artists and absolute beginners can flourish. Through drawing you will learn how to convey emotion and storytelling. Constructive feedback can be given by the tutor and it is also encouraged from your peers.
This month, attention will be given to the anatomy, gesture and connection of the upper and lower torso.
Our models are exquisitely lit providing an ideal opportunity to represent the human form using tonal value. Boris, with his wealth of experience, will guide artists through each step of the journey improving drawing skills regardless of skill level. Artists can also choose to cherry pick elements of teaching or simply work from the model.

All necessary materials are supplied at no additional cost including easels, drawing boards, bull dog clips, quality drawing papers, graphite, charcoal, Indian ink, brushes, and acrylics. Of course, if you have your own cherished tools, feel free to bring them.
