Founded in 1946 in the heart of industrial Lancashire, Leyland Band celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021. A new era has begun for the band with the appointment of Musical Director Danny Brooks. Under Danny’s leadership the Leyland Band will be involved with plenty of forward-thinking projects that showcase its first-class playing. As well as numerous contest and performance successes, the band recently welcomed some new faces to its ranks including fifteen-year-old percussionist Anna Richmond and former army trombonist, Simon Moore.
