The Experience
This workshop is delivered over two-days. Please ensure you can attend both days before booking.
On the first day you will have two and a half hours (10am - 12.30pm) to throw cylinders that will be made into mugs or jugs.
On the second day you will have two and a half hours (10am - 12.30pm) to add spouts and handles to your best three pieces. You will then be able to decorate your work by adding colour and texture to your pieces.
Whether you're an absolute beginner or a seasoned pro, you’ll leave with work to be proud of. You will be offered as much or as little help as you want. This event is throwing only so places are limited!
Event Details
Duration: 5 hours (2.5 Hours each day.)
Theme: Throwing on a potter’s wheel and creating handles and spouts.
What to bring: enthusiasm! And an apron. If you have long hair you might want to tie it back. False or long nails will hinder your ability to throw on a wheel effectively.
Takeaway: You’ll create your own unique pieces of thrown pottery.
Choose your best three pieces to keep. Due to the long drying process and the need for two firings, your work will be ready to collect 5 to 6 weeks after the session. You will be contacted when your work is ready to collect. Your work is food safe. It is recommended that you avoid putting it in the oven, microwave or dishwasher.
