A young boy with autism adapts to staying with his quirky grandparents over summer by pretending he's preparing for a trip to Mars in this touching comedy drama from Germany.
10 year old Tom has autism and sees the world a bit differently from the other children at school. He loves space and wears his space helmet to get him through difficult situations. When his mother unexpectedly has to go away for work, Tom has to move with his older siblings to his quirky grandparents' house in the countryside. To help him cope, Tom’s mother gives him a log book and suggests that he sees the trip as a trial Mars mission. A heart-warming and thought-provoking story of family dealing with difference, that combines beautiful animation with comedy to show Tom's world on screen.
