Theme - Community
This month, our photo social will focus on the theme of community and will be hosted by photographer, and Take It Easy team member, Hannah Platt.
Taking inspiration from the latest exhibition by Hyde Park Art Club - 'Is This What We Have Left?’, we want to explore how photography can be used to document a community, create a sense of belonging, and showcase it's heritage.
This is a loose theme and could be anything from photos of people within a community, the spaces that they occupy, or artefacts that represent them.
About our photo socials
Our photo socials are open to everyone and are absolutely free. This is a friendly event for anyone who wants to share their work or meet other people from the Leeds photography community.
We encourage people attending the social to bring some of their pictures and bodies of work to share with the group however, don't feel like you HAVE to bring anything, you can just join in and support others. The social is an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy working with your peers. Everyone is welcome.
This isn't a place for harsh critique, this is a place where we support one another and encourage your practice in a constructive and kind way.
If you want to come, please book a ticket so we can monitor numbers. All are welcome and it's absolutely FREE!
This event is BYOB (bring your own beverage).
