Interactive poetry walk around Hunger Hills Woods - with kind permission from the friends of Hunger Hills Woods

The Horsforth Lantern team held their innaugral festival in Feb 2026 in Horsforth Hall Park. It included puppetry Lanterns created by Marc Parrett director of Grandly Strange puppet theatre company and with poetry and music written by Neil Edwards, Oonagh Edwards and Jonnie Khan (LS18 rocks).

Come and take a walk around Hunger Hill woods and listen to 1000 years of the history of Horsforth in poetry and song whilst walking in beautiful woodlands.

Entrance to the walk is from Hall Lane opposite childrens playground. Please park consideratly using the free parking on this road or in the carpark nearby.

PLEASE NOTE: this is a walk within a woodland, please come dressed for the weather. A moderate level of fitness is required as this is up hill.
