Knitting for beginners
Workshop
Creative Workshop

This three-hour beginner knitting workshop will introduce participants to the essential skills needed to start their knitting journey with confidence.

We will begin by learning a little about choosing suitable yarn and needles, then move on to learn and practise core techniques – casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and casting off.

We will introduce common abbreviations used in knitting patterns and talk about how to avoid some common mistakes made by beginners. By the end of the workshop, everyone will have created a small sample swatch to take away.

This workshop is led by Carolyn Johnson and Linda Forsey from CrafteSana.

All materials are included.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided during the break.
