Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective returns to Leeds to present a sequence of music drawing on themes of dreams, hope, and spirituality, including, Golijov’s klezmer-inspired clarinet quintet, one of the most electrifying works of the twentieth century, and Beethoven at his most transcendent. Folk traditions from around the world weave through the programme, which includes new arrangements by Kaleidoscope’s founder Tom Poster. We explore ways to create a communal listening space surrounding performers and audience, to bring us all closer to both the visceral power and the solace of this music.
