Joe Webb (piano) Will Sach (double bass) Sam Jesson (drums)
Joe Webb is a highly regarded pianist, jazz musician, and London-based composer, originally from Wales. Described as one of the UK's most captivating young pianists, Joe is excited to launch his new E.P “SET” alongside his piano trio at the great Ronnie Scott’s jazz club. With a performance CV that includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Wynton Marsalis and Jamie Cullum, Joe is now releasing and touring his own music. Inspired by performing together serving as the house band at a prominent London venue for over two years, Joe began composing music specifically tailored to double bassist Will Sach and drummer Sam Jesson. Joe’s writing draws influence from his deep-rooted connection to the Jazz piano tradition and early jazz pianists including James P Johnson, Art Tatum and Fats Waller, 90’s Britpop bands like Oasis and Blur, and even his love for football. The trio signed to the prestigious jazz label “Edition Records” in 2023 and will release two EPs and an album this year. Their unique blend of sound worlds have caught the attention of music lovers all around the world after sold out shows in France, Germany, China and the U.K this year. The trio are looking forward to visiting Leeds for the first time and will be performing music from all three releases
