Jasper Høiby, the founding member of Phronesis, one of the most talked about and acclaimed European bands of the last decade, returns with his new piano trio 3Elements.
Copenhagen-born, London-based bassist Høiby has gained recognition for his fresh and dynamic approach to jazz, blending intricate compositions with spontaneous improvisation. With his innovative bass playing at the forefront, Høiby has released a string of highly acclaimed albums and toured extensively around the globe. His music transcends genres, combining elements of contemporary jazz and European folky influences with cutting edge improvisation.
Høiby’s list of collaborators read like a who’s-who of the contemporary jazz scene’s luminaries, including Tigran Hamasyan, Jason Lindner, Jeff Ballard, Shai Maestro and many more. For his Howard Assembly Room performance, he’ll be joined by London-based pianist and BBC Young Musician nominee, Noah Stoneman and Beabadoobee drummer Luca Caruso.
