Jamil Sheriff’s 4 in 1 – a band where four of the North’s most accomplished players come together to pay tribute to artists such as Thelonious Monk, Benny Golson, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.
Led by Jamil Sheriff, from Leeds Conservatoire, described in The Times as ‘an excellent northern pianist who brings together a range of classic, contemporary, and urban approaches’ this will be a swinging and joyful affair that promises to remind you of all your favourite jazz musicians. But expect a few twists – the group do things their own way! This is music for jazz lovers. The band is Will Howard (saxophone), Jamil Sheriff (piano), Sam Quintana (bass) and Steve Hanley (drums).
