Join artist and educator Paul Digby in this fabulous one day workshop.
Participants will explore a variety of materials, including graphite, pencil and pen, all while learning essential drawing methods such as line drawing, shading techniques (hatching, cross-hatching, and stipping), and the principles of composition.
The workshop emphasiseshands-on exercises, allowing participants to practice quick sketches, create shaded forms and develop small compositions that integrate learned techniques.
A significant focus of the workshop is on understanding perspective, where participants will learn to apply one-point and two-point perspective to real-world subjects. Through observational drawing exercises, participants will gain confidence in translating what they see into their artwork. The day will conclude with a sharing and feedback session, encouraging constructive dialogue among the group. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with valuable skills, insights, and resources to continue their drawing journey with creativity and confidence.
