This workshop will introduce you to the drawing techniques and styles of some of our best-loved book artists, such as Quentin Blake, Chris Riddell and Judith Kerr.

Your workshop tutor will show you how these artists create such brilliant characters, using his extensive stash of books and original artwork. You will use Abbey House’s exhibition, Story Time, to draw inspiration for designing your own character. Throughout your time here, you’ll learn through playing, and will have a chance to have a go with a range of art supplies to see what you enjoy drawing with most.

All materials will be supplied by Abbey House Museum. Open to all children aged 9-13 as well as adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking required.
