Workshop

Why do we associate Easter with rabbits? Why do we give eggs? Inspired by folk art and the folklore of Britain, join textile artist Jane to learn some traditional embroidery skills along with stories behind the origins of some of our Easter customs.

You will learn how to transfer a hare design on to fabric and use an embroidered outline technique to create your own piece of folk inspired art. Whilst you stitch you will hear tales of the pagan roots of some of our best loved traditions.

Whether you are a beginner or want to refresh your skills you will get hands on experience and advice. You will be guided through hand embroidery techniques and stitches to create a unique piece of thread art. Take some time for yourself to discover how satisfying it is to create with just a needle and thread.

Jane is passionate about embroidery and uses it on anything she can get a needle through! Join her in letting your creativity loose!

Please note - this workshop is only suitable for adults 18+
