Masters of melody Espen Eriksen Trio and British jazz star Andy Sheppard are back.

After 17 years, seven albums and regular touring on four continents, Espen Eriksen Trio’s reputation is firmly established. The Norwegian trio’s music relies on highly melodic and lyrical instrumentals and is often credited for its unique voice. Award-winning saxophonist and composer Sheppard has made a significant impact on the international jazz scene. He’s worked with many notable figures including Gil Evans, Carla Bley, George Russell and Steve Swallow.

The Trio and Sheppard first teamed up in 2016 for two concerts in London and make a “truly remarkable” (All About Jazz) combination. In 2018, they released their first album together, Perfectly Unhappy, which was followed up with a live album and last year’s studio album As Good As It Gets. The album was elected the sixth best jazz album in 2023 by Jazzwise.
