You will watch a demonstration of how to throw a bowl on a pottery wheel. Then over the course of two hours, you’ll be taught how to throw bowls. Each team consisting of one adult and one child, will share one wheel, and will take it in turns to create a pot. Or, if you are small enough to sit on your adult’s knee, you can do it together!

Even if you have never tried this before, we are sure you’ll leave with work to be proud of. You will be offered as much or as little help as you want. This event is throwing only so places are limited!

Please note - children must be between the ages of 4 and 12 years old

Event Details

Duration: 2 Hours
Theme: Family fun
What to bring: enthusiasm! And an apron. If you have long hair you might want to tie it back. False or long nails will hinder your ability to throw on a wheel effectively.
Takeaway: You’ll create your own unique pieces of thrown pottery. Your team can choose your best two pieces to keep. Due to the long drying process and the need for two firings, your work will be ready to collect 5 to 6 weeks after the session. You will be contacted when your work is ready to collect. Your work is food safe. It is recommended that you avoid putting it in the oven, microwave or dishwasher.

Please note - one ticket entitles you to one adult place and one child place.
